What is even better about the Oneida Dust Deputy is that it is ENTIRELY MADE IN THE USA!!!! Oneida Air Systems is headquartered here in Syracuse, NY. Head over to the Tools & Blades forum & do a search on Dust Collection - lot's of valuable info there. And cleaning the filter bag will be reduced by at about 60%. You'll rarely empty the plastic bag on the collector, itself.
That 1st stage collector will capture 70% - 80% of all the dust & small chips & pieces before they get to the dust collector. Phil Thien's Cyclone Separator Lid w/ the Thien Cyclone Separator Baffle -, but a lot of folks bought the Onieda Dust Deputy Cyclone collectors. I used Phillip Thien's plans & built my own - J. I finally solved my issues by replacing the bag with a canister, but the smartest move was adding a 1st stage collection unit to the system. Or vacumn them with a different vacumn cleaner. About all you can do is beat the devil out of them - Outside and down wind from the neighbors. Cleaning - Those filter bags are a trip to clean. I have heard of others who built noise reducing barriers/walls around them.Ģ. I solved my problem by building a little 3X4 shed behind my shop and installing it there. Noise - these things can sound like an F-15 landing in your shop.
